Updates, Updates...
Well here we are, Beta 1 has dropped (we all know the issues it had the day of availability) the Windows Longhorn build leaked was 4066, most know this as well a Vista build leaks, Build 5754 was made available by Rob Storm of AXP. Windows 7 screenshots have popped up all over the place and most pics appear to be legit, and my album Man Machine Myth makes its way to the interwebs, and there is more on the horizon.
Where Have I Been?
well since this place went to hell in a handbasket i continued to Beta test Windows Vista and test a few other things as well relating to Microsoft, i continued to build my collection of OS's and collected anything regarding Windows Longhorn/Vista or any type documents i could get my hands on relating to current or concepts Microsoft had been working on. I have become "known" for sharing goodies and offering glimpses into Microsoft through things i have collected or had recieved via emails on joejoe.org and will continue to offer such goods as long as i can.
At the time i began to record an album with Johnny Quest (Mr. JQ) titled "System Restore" and was focusing my concentration on that at the time. Work is currently being done on a new Cityboy & Johnny Quest titled "Illcognito" and should be ready for release before 2009. just trying to find a balance ;)
That Company We Call Microsoft...
After bringing to surface some of the old "Media Type Browsing" concepts i thought my first post should be about "Lost Concepts" its more of an homage to older concepts that have not seen the light of day outside of Microsofts Research and Design Labs.
What Is This Thing Called Win7?
Windows 7 Is the next version of Windows slated for 2010, since we first saw Build 6519 a lot has happened, meant be be some what of a refresh to Windows Vista The next version is sure to impress and add more ease of use technology via the SuperBar and other added goodies, take a small walk through of what we have seen thus far, via the Read Me which i will be updatng as time goes on.
Windows Into The Future...
So, As far as rumour and speculation go, not much has been said about the future of Windows and what beyond Win7 will look like, after trudging through the evil interwebz not to long ago I came across a document that really caught my interest and with a simple right click and save as the document was mine! I read through the document trying to figure out if it was legit or where and when it came from, titled "Consumer-Oriented Product Lineup Expected Features Timeline" it was full of great info about what does actually come after Win7 and what would appear to be around the 2012 time if i had to guess, maybe 2013 or later? again this is just a guess...
